There are many types of family planning, beyond external condoms (covering phallic skin). Always pair Caya diaphragms with Contra Gel; they reduce pregnancy from sex in the next 3 hours (add more gel to repeat), then remove it after at least 6 hours. Remove a diaphragm within 24 hours of insertion. 

LARCs are Long-Acting Reversible Contraception. The copper IUD coil (Paragard) prevents pregnancy for up to 10 years. Miudella, a new copper IUD coil, is smaller with less than half the copper in the Paragard IUD copper coil.

Selective anti-estrogen contraception: Saheli pill (Ormeloxifene). Take 2 per week then 1 per week for temporary early menopause. Saheli is safe while breastfeeding. 

Progestogen-only contraception: IUS coil for up to 10 years (Mirena; or smaller, lower-dose Kyleena too!! 😻), Nexplanon arm implant for up to 3 years (lowest fail rate), arm injections cover the next 12 weeks ("depot medroxyprogesterone acetate (Depo Provera® and Sayana Press®) or norethisterone enantate (Noristerat)"), or vaginal ring for about 4 weeks (ProgeRing).

Progestogen plus Estrogen Combined contraception: vaginal ring for up to 3 to 5 weeks (NuvaRing), or skin patch. 

Barrier methods reduce pregnancy and STI risk: internal (self-insert) condoms, dental dams, or finger cots. Please get morning-after pills where you live! Some only work for up to 72 hours (3 days) after first episode of unprotected sex. [/READ-MORE]

Morning-after pills: Ulipristal Acetate (Ella One) or Levonorgestrel (Levonelle One Step). Emergency contraception does not reduce STI risk.
