welcome to the Minecraft community!
common courtesy guidelines
- no harassment or drama; please be respectful and courteous to all members of the comm.
- if you're having an issue with another user, please contact the mods.
- use readmores if the post body contains more than 3-4 paragraphs of text or multiple full-size images to allow for unobtrusive scrolling.
- advertising content related to minecraft is fine as long as it doesn't become spam. this may include, but is not limited to:
- advertising minecraft servers (if it's a private server, be sure you have the server owner's permission)
- advertising plugins, mods, resource packs, etc. (give credit if applicable)
- tag content as suggested under "tagging guidelines" below.
violating any of the above are generally not bannable offenses unless they escalate to the point they could be counted under the "disallowed content" described below.
tagging guidelines
please tag your posts/reblogs to allow for easier navigation and blacklisting, particularly with the following, if applicable:
- any content warnings that may apply (e.g. "spiders")
- the username of any Minecraft YouTubers/streamers mentioned
- "minecraft server" and server type (e.g. "survival server", "minigames server")
- if it's a large/public server, the name of the server
- "plugins", "mods", "datapacks", "resourcepacks", "shaders", etc.
- "minecraft stories" (for player stories about minecraft, not minecraft: story mode)
- "minecraft builds"
- "art"
feel free to add tags more specific than those mentioned above, but these are the only tags the mods will be enforcing.
disallowed content
- any content or behavior that violates Pillowfort's Terms of Service
- NSFW content (even if tagged/marked properly)
- spam of any kind
- (if you know you have a lot of content to post or reblog, consider spacing it out over a few hours or days to avoid looking like spam)
- any content irrelevant to the comm
- reposting of content that is not your own, unless you have express permission from the creator and credit them in the post
once the mods become aware of any of the above, we will reach out to the poster (via comment or PM); if we receive no response, the post will be deleted. for more severe violations, the post may immediately be deleted to avoid upsetting other users. if you believe one of your posts was deleted in error, please let the mods know.
repeated (and intentional) offenses may result in the user being banned from the comm.
