Made with the intention of bringing together those who share similar experiences with alienation, ostracization, removal/restriction of autonomy, and isolation in regards to identifying outside of pre-established sets of ontological and (relative to the time period) presently understood scientific norms.
This community is exclusively anti-harrassment. Anyone is welcome to use this term if they want to. This community and term is explicitly against exclusion of any kind.
------------------------------------------------------------------
This term has overlap with other pre-existing identities such as alterhuman, otherkin, voidpunk, etc. It is an intentionally broad umbrella term meant to include anyone with non-normative experiences. Especially marginalized people, and those with beliefs widely considered to be bizarre, "out there", nonsensical, contrary to reality, or radical.
There is no formal list of rules here. But we do have some core philosophies that are the basis of the community we hope to build.
- Everyone is the expert on their own experience.
- Each individual experiences their own subjective reality. Each reality is equal to every other one.
- We are anti-assimilation. We don't want to be "normal" - we want to question and tear down the very concept of normal.
- We generally recognize identities and labels as being social constructs. Most every category is a spectrum with grey areas - rather than being rigid, strictly defined boxes that one must fit into.
-
Be open-minded. Be prepared to question what you believe is true and why.
- Approach every experience that is shared here in good faith. No matter how strange it may seem, there is a person out there that experiences it.
That's about it! We encourage you to share whatever you like here. Abducted by aliens? Are an alien? Talk to Gods? Are a God? Turn into a werewolf? See visions? Hear voices? Time traveled? Are haunted? Cast magic spells? We'd love to hear about it!
