The primary focus of this community is the "retro" web. For the sake of reference I'll say that 2010 and earlier counts as "retro", but I won't quibble about anything from at least 10 years ago. Older projects that are still going can be included; they should ideally be still in the spirit or ethos of the older web. More modern projects that are clearly retro/yesterweb-inspired are also okay.
For small web projects, you may also find the Neocities comm suitable.
Older tech is also welcome but ideally should have a connection to the web or internet. Non-web internet protocols are totally fine and relevant.
Etiquette and behaviour
* No spam. Clear spam and commercial promotion will be removed.
* Try to keep posts relevant to the topic of the comm to the best of your ability.
* Be polite and respectful towards other community members. Try to assume interactions are in good faith and act accordingly. Give users time to respond during a discussion to avoid inundating them, and refrain from speculating about or speaking for others. Don't reveal the personal information of other members of the comm or Pillowfort generally. Please also try to keep discussions on-topic, or else transfer the discussion elsewhere.
* This should go without saying, but transphobia, racism, sexism, queerphobia, ableism and other bigotry (and the promotion thereof) will not be tolerated.
* Please use tags to categorise your posts/reblogs to the comm. (No need to use tags like "retro web" or "yesterweb" since they are the focus of this comm. Instead, try to tag with the part(s) of the retro web that this is relevant to). If you are unsure what or how to tag, asking for suggestions is fine.
* This is a SFW (safe for work, i.e. non-explicit) comm, so vintage smut and gore, etc. will have to find a home elsewhere.
* Self-promotion and boosting your own work/projects is welcome but ideally keep it to one post per project/work.
* These rules will be added to and updated as the need arises, so reviewing them from time to time may be helpful.
